My story begins with a leap of faith…

A move to Los Angeles with no plan — only an artist chasing a dream. While drawing in my room one day, I had the thought that perhaps I should draw around other artists. That's when I came upon Kustom Kulture Tattoo Studio, a shop of experienced and open-handed artists. Each carried a different style, and each a different goal.

From there, I was able to watch Nacho, Jade, Nancy, Ivan, Edison, and Andrew work with their clients. I observed how they set up and broke down their stations, sterilized their equipment, consulted with clients, built relationships, and, most importantly, created a safe environment for everyone. Over time, by watching them carefully and learning every technique they had to offer, they became some of my closest friends — close enough to be considered family.

Later, they offered me an apprenticeship. I was beyond excited — out of pure happiness, I gave every one of them a hug. From that moment on, I was determined to learn how to provide outstanding customer service, build strong relationships with both artists and clients, and ultimately how to apply my art to a living canvas.

I absorbed everything they taught me, and I continue to use those skills to this day. They remind me of where I started and, more importantly, who helped me get there. It was an incredible opportunity that I will never forget — a story I will always be proud to tell.

I arrived in Los Angeles as an artist searching for an opportunity. What I found was a family, mentors, and a path forward. The lessons I learned there continue to guide me every day, and I will always be grateful to the people who helped turn my passion into a profession.
